Fine weather allowed us to use the shared community facilities adjacent to the Clontarf Foundation. Current students and their families joined with staff and SKWAD to welcome students enrolled for 2026 and their families. The outdoor location was ideal for a demonstration of the Loftus Rural Fire Brigade trucks' new water canon.

SSC CLUBGRANTS 2024- TRAVEL TRAINING

A grant from the previous years Sutherland Shire Council managed ClubGrants Program funded additional learning support for a dedicated student travel training. Miranda Diggers RSL Club provided the funding. Future funding was confirmed in the 2025 round and SKWAD was invited to showcase the charity and Travel Training Program at the grants Presentation Ceremony.

WELCOME BBQ AT THE INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY OUTDOOR HUB

SKWAD welcomed students commencing Inclusive Education in 2024 at the new Community Hub at Endeavour Sports High School on the 23rd of November. Recent funding from the Stronger Communities Programme provided new accessible outdoor settings and an all-weather umbrella, improving site amenity.

Cronulla RSL invited SKWAD to participate in its’ 5th annual Trees of Hope Christmas tree decorating competition. SKWAD’s winning entry referenced the existing Covid-19 pandemic with garlands of takeaway coffee cups and toilet rolls. The tree’s star topper was masked.

SSC ClubGrants 2020-2021 Gross Motor Fitness

Sutherland Shire Council managed ClubGrants saw Diggers Miranda RSL fund a dedicated Gross Motor Fitness Program for all students. The Covid-19 pandemic delayed access to various service providers for cross training activities. Program completion occurred in 2022.

The Sutherland Shire Council managed ClubGrants program saw Club Cronulla fund additional learning support for 20 days of student travel training. A slow program roll-out due to the Covid-19 pandemic delayed project completion till 2022.
